Well i lasted 5 days.

I was going on hol today but it got cancelled the other day.

i had drawn the spending money out for it then i got a phone call it was cancelled. so after work i went to the bookies. There was a lad in there bragging about how much he had won this week. Anyway i started on the roulette machines. Wish i had not. I ended up putting 150 in. And only had 40 left. I think when i have lost so much i just put the rest in, funk it. so i put 20 in put £5 on 28 and did some other bits. and it came in. I collected and nearly ran out the bookies. All that stress for a few quid.

Its my birthday 2moz i will be 36 i'm gonna try again. I found another hol and going there on tuesday for a week. so it should be a good start to recovery.

This roulette ihit is the problem. i think i get dazzled by the spinning wheel noise of the ball. i hope they ban them soon.

chat again when i get back.

Oh how we all wish they would get banned! I certainly would be very happy if those dratted FOBTs would just disappear and never been seen again.

Then the world and society would be much better!

Sorry to hear of your slip but well done on running out at the right time. Perhaps you really need to get some blocks in - self exclude yourself from them? All you need are some photos of yourself - I save even more by printing them out on an A4 on my PC.

There really is no shame in doing this and I have never had any problems or raised eyebrows. They must be used to a lot of people having to do the same!

hi well i did 10 days, and then had a lapse and lost £90. not funny just cant help myself the only thing that stopped me was run out of avaiable money. plus i hate people looking over me tell me what numbers to put on. Telling me oh if that comes out then this will be next. when it never is. going to bed now as i feel sick after that today. will try again tomorrow.

I have not gambled for 3 weeks but had a lapse last night and lost £160. Money had been bluiding up in my wallet cause i sold some stuff on *******. anyway i went in the bookies and put it all in the machine. What made me mad more than anything was i didnt win on it once. i think they are programed to eat money. i put nearly every number on and guess what it landed in one of the 2 i didnt.

Taking even more steps now to stop im gonna self exclude from the bookies so i cant go in. and i will drop daily cash withdrawals to £30 a day. I think that i will never kick this problem i can only put stops in place to stop me going mad on it.

I think if there's nothing going on in your life then this is why you do stupid things.

Looking on the positive side at least for me in wasnt thousands like in the past, as i have self excluded online everywhere i cud think. And even tried to get back on one site yesterday and they told me i had self excluded for 5 years and goodbye.

So i'm staying strong and hope you are all doing your best.

Good morning Carl

I'm going to try and go a full month without gambling (slots are my demon).

Let's try and do this together

I've to have had many slips but just like you I'm determined to beat this no matter how many times I fail

Hi all

ive been battling for years and I will be battling for years more.

But never give up on giving up. The more days you don't bet the more money you don't lose. I will always have a problem with it the rest of my life.

Stay positive and never give up on stopping.
