day 53

feeling quite down today, dont know why. long day in work. crazy to think this time 53 days ago, on my breaks i would be checking the football fixtures for tonight, checking form, tables, past results etc. this would include leagues id never heard of in asia/africa. That is how desperate i was to gamble and looking back, i feel absolutely horrific knowing i would happily throw £50 on an accumulator whilst i was at work. constantly refreshing the page checking the scores. that is a place i never want to be at again.

since stopping gambling, my work quality has improved which is good.
hopefully ill perk up during the day 🙂

Hi Ben not good with the holiday firm going bust I've used them before and to do it just before the school holidays is shocking. They must have known for weeks if not months.

Anyhow you keep doing what your doing th days are mounting up and things seem to be going well.

Hi Ben, great to see you still going strong, be the 2 months mark for you very shortly. As for lowcost going bust, they seem to be saying that the changes since brexit, was the final straw for them.

good morning all,

today is day 64, i had an amazing weekend away with my OH to lancaster. we had day out in the lake district near windermere and bo'ness which was pure bliss. we had a massive chat about how i used to gamble and how far id come which was lovely. she is still as supportive as ever. feeling really good today, now pushing towards my 90 day milestone. i go away again on a family holiday to cyprus in august which i am looking forward to. by the time i go on the 27th augusut ill be 96 gamble free so that is my next target.

cheers for that comment martin, yes bo ness was absolutely lovely. we had a great weekend away and im sure we will be back in the future.

just an update, today is day 68, i am still gamble free and i am really feeling so much better. i now walk past bookies without even thinking about going in. my finances are already slowly but surely getting better and my debt has reduced which is always good.

like ive said before, my real test is when the football season starts but i am so determined to not let gambling ruin my life and future. i am keeping my guard firmly up as i know i am only 1 bet away from day 1 again.
