So today marks 5 weeks for me can't believe I've done it really! Not posted for a while, just getting on with life really seems to be settling down as time goes on still have the ups and downs but they ups slowly start to outnumber the downs, still a way to go but feel like I'm well on the right track in life at the min!

Congrats on the 5 weeks Rylex. Can see it's not been easy so fair play.

Great post #89. It's natural to get some lows after you stop gambling. As you say, gambling is kind of like a mask which deadens everything. Once you take off that mask you're exposed to life - which always has it's ups and downs. That's just life but we've become so used to hiding that it can freak us out at the start.

Once you start dealing with life, especially the lows, without the mask, that's when you make real progress. It's easy stepping out of our comfort zone when we 'feel' great but if we can keep doing the what's important to us even when we don't feel great - IMO that's where true confidence and richness of life comes..

Best

Louis

Fantastic stuff rylex 🙂 keep it up it's inevitable to have low points and bad days but you've came so far. Keep dipping in here for support I'm finding it invaluable as we're all on here for the same thing and although I'm still in the early stages of my recovery the positive messages you receive really make a difference. We cannot win as we cannot stop
