I am strongly addicted to sports betting and have decided that now is the time to quit. I am roughly £4000 in debt, it isn't the debt that I am worried about but the fact that I had to take out a loan this month just so that I can get a car service done is the last straw. In recent times I even have taken out pay day loans to pay the monthly bills then immediately gambled the loan money away. I believe I am cursed because I have experienced a serious amount of shock defeats in sports betting, I think it is more than a coincidence that these teams lose when I have lumped my money on them to win. An example.of this was when I had a large bet on over 0.5 goals to be scored in a game.and the team hit the post in the last minute.

.

I no longer can handle the emotional and financial trauma of losing because if I continue I will be homeless and dead by the time I am 30.

Welcome Ken . Would be good to get this sorted while your still young enough to have a life ahead of you . Hopefully you can identify with some of the diaries and work out your own strategies and coping mechanisms . As you are aware gambling addiction is notoriously difficult to overcome but it can be done . Wishing you every success ..... stephen

Hi Ken,

You're not cursed at all. That's gambling for you. It's time to stop for you cause s believe me it will get worse. The truth is even if you win you'll only lose it all again on another bet. 4K is not the end of the world. Start resisting now and you'll see how much better life and your finances are in a matter of months. Take care.
