Hi all. I just want to say thankyou to everyone on here for the support over the last few years. I'm in a really good place right now and my recovery is going well. I've not always used gamcare just for my gambling problem but also used it for my mental health, which wasn't the right thing to do. I put unnecessary stress on  gamcare staff, and it wasn't fair. I was very ill mentally and instead of turning to my mental health support network, I would use gamcare. I know I'm not cured from gambling, but are any of us ever?? It will always be part of our lives, our story. But I feel like my time on gamcare is done now. I know in the future if I need the help, gamcare will always be here. But its time to stand on my own two feet. I'm a busy mam of 5. I have loads going on, and things I'm looking forward to, I just want to move on with my life now. I will miss everyone on here, way to many to name but a special thanks to Adam and Lids, ur top guys. I wish everyone all the best in there recoveries. And an extra special thankyou to gamcare staff, you've helped me through some of the darkest moments of my life. Time for me to live now 🙂 take care all, I wish u all the very best.

Stace xxx

Hi

I was able to invest more time and energy going to meetings which helped me make much healthier choices.

Gambling for me was self abuse and self neglect.

I now understand that I could not do recovery on my own.
