fella I hope that pin is a great reminder of the journey you are on,one that never ceases but one that gifts the efforts of the hard work put in.

Keep making that choice

Hi, Im just starting my journey but after reading through yours its really helped me. I have debts through gambling ( guess most of us have ) but they are slowly coming down. I feel lost to be honest as the gambling was " a friend " but Im learning to find new things to do so hopefully this will help.

Thank you for allowing me to see it can be done.

Day 797-803

Thank you both for your posts.

GA last night and a member of the fellowship reported gambling. A very sobering experience to witness first hand, the devastation that gambling can bring.

I'm ok and looking forward to the weekend

Gazza

my dear friend I sometimes wish we could bottle that hurt, the devestation that comes from our compulsion,it is a sobering thing to see in the 3d world.

Then we could throw it in the face of gambling when it tries to kid us that we enjoyed the punt!!

Abstain and maintain

Gazza

fella sorry to read that you have found the room a difficult place to be recently,I fully understand those feelings, for me sometimes it feels like I am on a roundabout, going over the same things over and over, like the room is at a stand still.

for me two things have retained my commitment to keep going.

The first what if everyone felt like that, that they had taken all they could from the room and stopped going

What would happen to the next new member desperate for help walked into an empty room. For me without doubt GA did save my life,so today as a guardian of the amazing gift I simply want to gift it to others.

Secondly fella's like you are great for the room,a testament to what stopping the destruction can gift, you are living proof

For that Gazza I salute you my friend

Keep making the right choice

Day 832-845

Thanks Dunc, you're right, I just needed to take a break for a couple of weeks. Very negative atmosphere at times.

I'll try again next week.

Why not give other meetings a whirl. Like everything on life a change is as good as a rest.
