Ok this is it, I cant go on living this way anymore. Just got in from the bookies and blown another £120 in an hour. Its pathetic waited till my girlfriend went out to work then straight away I was down the bookies that £700 since Wednesday wasted. There is so much I want to do in life but I cant break free from the same old cycle every month, get paid, blow it all in the bookies then struggle for the next 3 weeks till next payday and start all over again.
Im determined to do it this time, I know i can ive done it before. Next day off im gonna get passport photos done and self exclude from all bookies in my area.
Hey bones just read your post, i am sure everyone on this site can relate to how you are feeling.
i find myself in the same cycle of payday, gamble, lose and then struggle until the next payday.
i to am fed up of it, i know how much better my life is when i am not gambling.

Thankyou Talbs, i managed to get thru today without gambling which is pretty hard when theres football on. Which just goes to prove that it can be done, so 1 day down time to start living the rest of my life.. Hope your recovery is going well.
Self exclusion is a great tool to combat this addiction. It takes away the decision for you. If you want to place a bet you have to travel miles and by then you should have come to your senses. The passport photos only need to be photocopied so don't go to great expense just rattle of an A4 size of photos and carry them with you. It has saved my skin many a time.
