I havnt placed a bet in 5 days. Going to my first GA meeting tonight. Being rough few days after my latest loss but really want to change and feel normal and stress free for once in a long time
Hi Mattie,
Well done on taking those few first steps gamble free, and I hope you find the GA meeting useful in helping you to deal with an overcome this horrible disease. Stress is probably one of the biggest problems that most people on this site will have, and is often a trigger for gambling, but the truth is that a gamble free life is much less stressful.
All the best
Ryan
Hello all, two weeks gamble free, being to a few GA meetings have went very well and have met some great people who I can relate to. Just taking one day at a time. Who knows what will happen just trying to be a better person is what matters.
Hello just a wee update on my situation as I feel writing to these boards gives me a great strength to carry on gamble free. Being exactly a month today from my last bet. Things are starting to get better, no more despair and no more hurt to me or my loved ones. Although I have to be careful as I know I'm only 10p away from doing a bet so taking it one day at a time. Hopefully I will never place another bet again and at present time I feel strong enough that I won't. Thanks for reading.

Maybe writing every day will give you a better chance of sticking on the right side of the track as you stated above!
Keep going
