Day 50

50 days is here! I must say I'm pretty proud of myself for teaching my first milestone.

It's not been easy but slowly but surely I'm feeling better, my relationships are improving and my debts are reducing.

Day 51

I survived a big test this weekend, my father and brother visited and they gambled on the football the whole weekend.
I said no to every offer to join a bet, this is a bullet dodged for me.

Day 54

As ever from Monday to Thursday life seems to move fast as busy with work, school and family life.

I still haven't placed that first bet anywhere and just for another day I won't.

Looking to grind away until next pay day early November.

Keep going Breakfree, the grind till pay day will become less and less the longer your free of gambling. There is only one way to win and that is to abstain and slowly regain financial control again.

Day 59

Thanks Smashed for your support, you are doing great as well so stay strong and GF!

New week is here and on my way to work, finances are a bit tight at the moment so needs to be a quiet week.

All I know is I would have been in a worse scenario if I carried on gambling from August.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi Breakfree

The quiet weeks going hand in hand with Abstaining will soon start baring fruit. You know it can only get better being gamble free. Nearly 2 months without a bet mate, well done.

Day 61

Cheers Matt, I'm loving being gamble free at the moment and feels good to be over the 2 month barrier.

My goal is to get to the end of the year being gamble free, looking forward to starting 2018 with a clear head and a promising future.

Hi all,

i'm new on here. It's been 2 days since my last bet. I've had enough. Difficult to say what the epiphany was, but enough is enough. I got married recently and don't want to jepordise that. We are trying to strat a family too, so dont want a little one being brought into the world with a messed up dad. I'm taking it day-by-day at the moment, and have contacted everyone for help. My GP, on here, GA, a friend at a local church, counsellers. I know I need help so throwing myself head first into it. I'm inspired by reading some of the comments on here. Simply reading how great someone's weekend is just by going for a meal with friends; that's something i took for granted.

Day 63

Need to be on my guard. Getting bombarded by betting companies offering me bets/bonuses, this was about the time I started getting complacent during my last longest GF period.

I'm low on funds at the moment due to massive debt repayment each month, luckily I've got a decent paid job so I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. I will be at 0 in 2019 🙂

This lack of cash brings some anxiety and the little gambling gremlin on my shoulder telling me it's ok to deposit.

Anyway I'm not listening and will not deposit a single penny because I know where I will end up.

One day at a time. Have a good Friday everyone.
