Good to see that your staying focused breakfree, keep going look at the kids faces and know that by gambling you can turn thier smiles upside down. Keep going, proud of you.

Day 113

I've got the gambling gremlin on my shoulder this morning so I've come on here.

"Come on it's Saturday and football day let's deposit" "This diary is boring" "Stop counting days GF and let's have some fun"

These are the thoughts I'm having today but I know in reality it may be fun for a few hours then a losing spiral is bound to happen

What comes after that is something I never want to feel again.

Utter despair, countless deposits and a huge black cloud over my head.

I've come a long way since August but I know I'm not out of the woods.

Sorry for the rambling but need to get this off my chest.

Today I will not gamble.

Day 114

Staying strong and going to have a nice day with the family. It's freezing and sunny here so going to pop out later and enjoy the afternoon.
Very happy to have survived the weekend GF.

Day 118

Xmas shopping for the family today.
Feels very good to spend money on the family, have a nice ale in the pub and not give a penny of my money to bookies at this time of the year.

Day 122

I spoke with the missus about everything yesterday, absolutely everything.

Feels like a rock has come off my chest. Very lucky to have her and the kids in my life.

Day 125

That is officially work done for 2017 🙂

Time to get home, wrap some presents, season the pork belly and crack open a beer as Christmas is just around the corner.

Wishing everyone on here a Merry Xmas and stay strong over the festive period.

Keep your money in your pocket and spend time with those who matter.

Day 140

2018 has started well and got through the first week at work.

Been doing a lot of reflecting recently and went through my bank statements in 2017.

January to August makes for horrific reading and I'm determined to stay GF and keep my finances on the straight and narrow.

In my bad months I was gambling between 1k-2k a month which is crazy as I earn 3k a month!

Now things are calming down and I like the look of my bank statements.

All my money goes to the family, debts, mortgage and more golf for me haha.

Stay strong everyone this weekend.
