Thanks Suzanne.
It has been a little easier this time. I dont know if its writing it down or maybe even feeling responsible not to break the 5 days done to fellow forum member I have never met.
There could be a sledge hammer round the corner mind. however in 10 days i am on holiday for 2 weeks so if I can get to that milestone I will be pleased.
The dredded Snap hook! Its all about the club face mate, just make sure the toe of the club is pointing up to the sky as you pass the half swing position!!!!! if its closed which it probably is the toe will point away from you at the half way point in the backswing! also a 2 knuckle left hand will help if your grip is a bit strong!
Hard to fix if i cant see the swing but give it a go!
and keep strong and gamble free mate, its not easy but if i can do it then anyone can.
Steve
Day 6 navigated with ease yesterday. HOwever today I had a fleeting thought of niping into the bookies. Resisted and now stuck behind my desk until 6. Reckon I shocked myself togday. However I know I wont gamble today or any day moving forward (hopefully)

Day 8 done
Golf swing was decent enough tonight.
Had lunch next to one of my old bookies today. No real temptation to go in.
Well done nick. Keep going mate.
I went into a casino last saturday to get my car par ticket stamped and it didnt interest me at all, straight in then straigh out. As time goes by it does get easier!
Steve
Day 9 done. No drama. Let's *** double figures!!
Hi nick
Double figures tomorrow keep going and keep strong you are doing well
Suzanne xx
no idea why the word get was asterixed out?
Days 10,11 and 12 completed.
Had to withdraw some foreign currency today. Only
€500 euros but the old me would have withdrawn 300 and tried to win the 400 on a fobt. My natural instinct thought of it but then my rational side Sade that that is rental behaviour.
So anyway I just went into the travel agent and bought the currency.
Wierd how we think when in gambling mode. No other real thoughts of gambling.
Day13 done.
Life isn't too bad without thinking when my next bet will be!
Day 16 completed yesterday. Still get the urges but have controlled them.
Also I have alot more time on my hands as no longer whitling hours away playing in the bookies. no more lies about being stuck in traffic. Generally the world seems a better place. Am away on holiday for 2 weeks from saturday and no access to gambling over there so I am effectively 2 days away from 4.5 weeks clear!
good luck all
Affected by gambling?
