Day 73- still gamble free, and not really come close to gambling. Thanks for your support once again ODAAT, it's what keeps me going, reading your support!! I agree that the longer I stay gamble free, this in turn will make my credit card balance less and less until it's a thing of the past!!! It will be here sooner rather then later, I just need to remain focused

No pressure then 😉

Meant to ask, how's Grumpy doing these days? Sorry Dave's wife if you're reading! For what it's worth you have every reason to be a grump, us CG's are a nightmare to live with...I couldn't live with me & from what Dave's said, he'd be under the patio now too 😉

Ha, Suzanne had to remind me not to be so maudling 😉

It sucks that the house is happier without her when she should be dancing round the room proud of you! I'll do you a deal, you have another little smile & I'll do a little dance for you (just as soon as I'm off the train) (assuming no-one is about, of course) (don't want the men in white coats whisking me away) 😉

Keep fighting - ODAAT

Day 75 - completed without a gamble, but with a dance from ODAAT!!! Would love to have seen it!!

Day has passed easily, and with the wife away still means a nice relaxed house!! Really not missing the gambling, and added to the fact I went into my overdraft today, just imagine how bad my account would look if I was still at it. Moving closer to day 100, which I have calculated as the 8th August, which I will be on holiday for but I will celebrate it with a couple of beers I think!

Keep going guys, it's a better life

Day 76 - easy day again busy working, and with the Mrs. Away it gave me a chance to clean up around the place (not only is she grumpy but very messy also!!!) there is nothing better then a clean house. No thoughts of it today at all, so really it's a case of plodding on to the century target!!

Day 77 - another bet free day, I have been busy working hard so no time to think about it. In fact the only time I think of gambling now is when I check in here and reflect on my past. I am stressed tonight, for a few reasons, firstly my wife is back and the atmosphere in the house changed straight away. It seems to me she will do anything she can to not spend time with the kids!! Then she moans that they don't won't to spend time with her!! Then I just watched a programme on Chanel 4 about ISIS and how they have captured lots of women and babies, I really wish I hadn't watched this as it has stressed me right out. I know that these sorts of stresses in my life would make me hatch a gambling plan for the next day, but not anymore. In stead I am planning how to keep myself busy with work.

Need payday to hurry up also as my account is nearly in the over draft, this is due to a big vet bill and booking a few nights away in Aug. however I am not worried as Monday is payday so if I have a easy weekend I should be ok

Day 78 - done without a gamble. Still stressed today, but is my wife stressing me, not anything else. Not sure if she will ever change, so I guess I just have to live with it!! Only just realised I have now done over 11 weeks!! This is amazing for me and I must keep my guard up to hit the 100 days mark. Have a good night all and stay gamble free

Keep fighting the urges, now is a vulnerable time for you with Grumpy back home & money being tight! You are doing brilliantly & I have complete faith that you will sail through this weekend!

Just a thought...Did you ever get to GA? I've just read your diary from the start & it was all about getting out of debt! I'm just starting to realise that there's more to recovery than stopping gambling! Your OCD aside (mess related) have you guys ever managed to get your relationship back on course? This constant stress must be taking its toll on everyone 🙁 Has she ever had any help dealing with this? I'm wondering if she feels like she's living on a knife edge all the time wondering if you're going to give in to Mr Gamble!

Listen to me pretending I'm a counsellor 🙁 Seriously though, this is a major trigger, maybe it's time to have a real go @ getting your love life in order? There must be a way to fix it if you're still together through all this!

I think you're right ODAAT, I actually tried talking to her last night and she blew up! I overheard a conversation she had with one of my kids, that I didn't like as well, which when I mentioned to her again she just blew up! I think in time (sooner rather then later) maybe some counciling will help, but I also think trust is gone, do we will see, thanks for being there bud

Ahh women, we're all mental...I'm so lucky to have found someone who is uber patient & has listened to all the tips I have ever given him to getting me out of my funks! I'm not going to lie & say he ever gets them right especially when he tries to explain why he's in the right (I am a woman, I am never wrong) but he usually ends up vindicated! Relationships are hard @ the best of times, I imagine the effort quadruples when there are kids in the picture & that is exhausting. Keep trying & keep working @ the stuff you can & are fixing (gambling just exacerbates the bad)!

Stay strong - ODAAT

Day - 79 done. So ODAAT my wife actually apologised today!! I can't believe it, it must be a full moon or a leap year!!! Anyway it's water under the bridge now, and hopefully I can now focus fully on not gambling. I have a tricky two weeks coming up (lots of time on my own) so I must stay focused. Looking forward to a chilled weekend now. Have a gamble free one all
