Day 194 - thanks guys for your posts they mean a lot !! Easy day today with no gambling thoughts. Sleep well
keep up the good work fella, we stopped on the same day and it looks like we are both doing well, amazing what a difference 6 months of no gambling can make to your circumstances.
6 months sounds promising~ I just started reading posts and it's nice to hear that people are making headway. This is my day 2 since I recommited to a more active recovery. T2
Day 195 - thanks Tara and Luke for your posts, I was too busy counting days to realize that I was 6 months!!! And so true life is better without gambling in it, so today I managed to pay a further £1500 off my credit card, still waiting on more money that has been promised before 1st dec, this would then pay off my barclaycard totally, this was £9500 6 months ago!!! Then all I have left is £1500 on my mbna card to get rid of. When this is done, this will be a massive achievement. I hate the gambling industry, and hope one day it will be illegal to gamble unless the player has a permit, so when you are addicted like we are, you can self exclude and that stops all gambling. Sleep well
Day 197 - still gamble free and very close to my double century!! However life is cruel, just sat watching the news about Paris, crazy stuff going on.
Day 199 - Still really affected by Paris and all thats gone on, i cannot get my head around it at all, I fear that soon we will see it in England too, most proberly on Tuesday night when England play France at Wembley. I hope not though.
On a more positive note, tomorrow is day 200 of not gambling i will treat my self in some way to celebrate this massive target. Next target is 250 days. Sleep well all
Day 200!!!!!
For those of you that have been following me you will know I set myself targets, this is what keeps me going. Beating the gambling companies, so today I have hit the 200 day mark, I love hitting the rounded hundred numbers, very similar to when I gambled I needed to be £1000 up, if I was £988 up I couldn't walk away with it, it had to be a round number!!! Strange!! So tonight I will have a can or two to celebrate this day, it has flown by, and I feel such a different person, it's unreal!!! I am now aiming at 250 days, then 300 and so on. I am living proof that it can be done, so come on let's all stop gambling and start to enjoy life!
Whoop whoop 🙂
Enjoy those tinnies...You earned them!
Well done dave on reaching 200 days gamble free ! A big round number indeed !
I can hear those beers opening now , Cheers !!!
200 days! Amazing, very well done.
Wow thanks guys it means a lot
Well done mate a amazing achievement and would love to follow your footsteps my aim is 100 days and I'm at 34 days gamble free, Well done again
Day 202 gable free and still smoke free!!! Been an easy couple of days really, I have a new job staring Monday so just slowing down this week now which is nice. My wife's nan is poorly and is in hospital, so my wife may have to go away for a couple of days to see her, normally this would stress me out, as she will not get paid, but now I can afford it better !! Sleep well guys
Day 203 - still 100% focused never to gamble, life is so much better away from these places. Have a good night all
Wll done Dave, a real achievement! Have a beer for me! 🙂
