Well done on still being gamble free. I totally agree with what you've done with regards to the horse racing festival...those going with you will know not to ask you why you're not betting, but you'll also have the extra incentive not to gamble, as you won't be breaking your promise in front of them.
Continue going in the right direction, you've made a positive start, and after the festival, the only guaranteed winner is you.
