I think this might be the longest I've gone without gambling so far and it feels pretty good. I still have moments of temptation but I've not succumbed to them. It helps that I can talk honestly with my girlfriend and parents about it. The daily count on my profile here helps and is a source of pride. I keep counting towards the next milestone.
I've been getting myself involved in other projects to keep my mind occupied such as setting up my own website which is starting to find some success. I'm worried that one day the nagging temptation will be too strong to resist. We all have to remain vigilant against our own thoughts.

scothed, well done on 213 days, no easy task. Stay strong. x
Hi scothed,
Well done for abstaining for 213 days! That’s great news too, and thanks for sharing here. Perhaps your story will go in some way to encourage others to follow your footsteps.
It seems like involving in other projects is enabling you to distract yourself from gambling. I suggest that you continue to do more of what is working for you, and never to yield to temptation.
Also, I’m glad you’re able to speak freely about your gambling problem with your girlfriend and your parents; that helps to lessen the impact of
the gambling problem on you.
I wish you all the best with your recovery, and also for your own website project.
Keep up the good work, and pls. keep posting.
Kind regards,
Beatrice
