Welcome to the new GamCare forum. For those of you who have been here a while, we hope you like it and continue to be able to use it for support. We have tried to keep the format as similar as possible and posting and editing your content is the same. This is just a short note to make you aware of some of the changes we have made.
1.Your profile page. You’ll see that when you log in or join, you have a profile page in which you can tell us a bit about what brought you to Gamcare, upload a photo, and (if you are a gambler) set how long it has been since you gambled. If you are not a gambler, you can turn this bit off. You can also change your username and request a new password. You can also see your own posts and threads at a glance.
To change anything on your profile, click ‘edit’ and fill in the fields.
If you don’t wish to use the profile page, that’s fine.
By clicking on a username in the forum, you can go to their profile page
2.We have a new ‘search’ function, which allows you to search for topics and key words easily. This is at the top right hand side of the forum.
3.If you wish to subscribe to a user’s thread, because you’d like to follow it, you can do this by clicking on the ‘subscribe’ tab at the bottom of a thread you are replying to. Then, in your profile page, you can keep tabs on the threads you are subscribed to and see when they are updated. Click on the subscriptions tab for this. Don’t worry, no one else can see who you are subscribed to, or which threads are most popular
4.If you see a post you feel is inappropriate or abusive, you can ‘flag it’ to us and we can check it out. Click on 'Flag this as abusive' underneath a post.
