Hi, I would like some advice. My husband has been gambling for the last four years. He had a relapse recently but I am struggling to move on from this. He assures me that he will never gamble again and that he is in the process of sorting his life out and that he has hurt so many people. I hear conviction in his voice which gives me hope. Although he is doing the right things like showing me his bank statements (he never did this before) and how he is paying back his debt. I am not sure what measures he is putting in place if he does get a craving. He told me he did a self ban from the casinos about a year and a half ago with his brother. However I do not trust his brother so I cannot be sure that my husband has a self ban. When I told him, for me to have peace of mind, I need to go to the casino and make sure he has put a self ban. He says he doesn't want to re-live this experience and I have to take his word. Am I asking too much for this assurance? Please can someone give me advice. Thank you
