Hi, I last came on this website two years ago, and sadly things for my son seem to be no better. So much has happened over that time, the most scary thing being a pretty serious drug problem. I won't go into details about that on this site, but unfortunately my son is still gambling, still getting himself into serious problems. Borrowing from dubious people and then his father, my ex husband bails him out. He is constantly stressed because of money issues, is unbearable to be around, which is hard as he lives with me and my now husband. I am at a point I just don't know what to say to him any more. Gambling is ruining his life, and to be honest, it is having a massive effect on mine.

Dear arty05,

really sorry to hear things are still challenging with your son. Well done for coming on here and reaching out for support, it sounds like you and your now husband can really do with some of that.

Please also call the Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or the Netline here to speak to an adviser 1:1.

If your son is involved with illegal money lenders, you might also want to have a look at the Illegal Money Lending Team's website: http://www.stoploansharks.co.uk/

Wishing you all the very best,

Eva
