Hello,

How do I say No to family and friends asking for financial support without hurting their feelings? I am in huge gambling debt and only a few family knows about it. Others thinks I am doing well financially and keep on asking for money. It's putting me in pressure and thoughts of gambling are always lingering around.

How do I handle this?

You need to tell them about the mess

Hi

If I was to keep supplying other people with money I am stopping them from being self sufficient for them selves.

To stop being the victim one needs to be able to set healthy boundaries.

Sadly while you supply them with money you will think that they like you.

When you set boundaries and say no they will react in such unhealthy ways.

They are angry at them selves.

Is it healthy to feel guilty all of the time.

To become a healthy person I needed to set boundaries.

This would be about me writing down my needs my wants and my goals.

Writing down my needs my wants and my goals is a commitment to my self.

To stop being the victim I needed to have a voice from a place of peace.

It takes time to value your self.

It takes time to say I do not want or need gamblingor other unhealthy habits in my life today.

By attending meetings it is about doing it for my self.
