Seriously, who came up with the most pointless idea I've ever come across?! Why would I want a quick exit to Google when I don't even use Google, and when pressed I can't click 'back' to see what I was looking at before, which happens alot because it's IN THE WAY OF EVERYTHING I'M TRYING TO READ!!!!!?!!!!!

Hi all

Thank you for your feedback. The quick exit to Google was placed on the site to help anyone who may need to quickly conceal that they have visited the GamCare site. This has become a more pressing need in lockdown since people may have less privacy than before.

We've noted your feedback about it being in the way and difficult to navigate back from and we've passed it to the relevant staff at GamCare.

Many thanks again,

Deirdre

Hello to All.

I have respect for the above points of view but would like to add that I think the back to Google button is a brilliant addition to the site. A facility that is often seen on other forums of a sensitive nature where safety may be a factor for the user, or where the user may experience adverse effects as a result of the site in use being noticed by another. If someone is unable to guarantee their own privacy when accessing the site it can really help to ease a little anxiety or pressure knowing they can leave the site quickly if necessary..

I think it's a nice addition. There will be many who need that function to exit quickly for privacy reasons.
