Im new and yet another victim of Online Slots. First I want to say thanks to Gamcare online chat for the support. I have been reading through a few forums and really feel shocked that im not in this mess alone.
My story is similar to yours, started with Online Bingo and won money which I lost playing the side slot games. Switched to Poker site's that didnt have slots and got bored for that buzz. Kidded myself that I could control the urge and went back to Poker with Slots, 4 years down the line have a gambling problem that I lost control of. Lost a shed load of money again this weekend and as usual my whole weekly pay is gone. Feeling very guilty and stupid for allowing myself to lose control.
Today is day 1 of my recovery process. Got some plans in place, self excluded my self to start. Had some wonderful ideas from chat room and plan is to control 3 things. Access to money (got daughter to manage my finances and my card for 6 months) To much time to waste (will be looking to find new hobbies and different interests, maybe do overtime) Access to online sites ( will be putting a gambling block on laptop.
Will kick this !!!!
