Hi,
I joined 2 days ago and am still gamble free. One of the guys in the forum recommended a book that helps overcome this addiction.
Part of my gamble free agenda is to read as much as possible and I suppose reading about beating the addiction would kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Any book recommendations would be very much appreciated.
Regards, John
Hi John,
I read Tails I Lose by Justyn Rees Larcombe recently and found it to be both an uncomfortable and excellent read. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Not a recommendation as such but I would personally steer well clear of Alan Carr's How to Stop Gambling! It was like reading a women's mag advert & of the pages/chapters that I did manage, I can sum up in two words...
Just stop.
Not exactly helpful to my mind which is why (& I didn't do it lightly) it went into the recycling & not to the charity bin.
Thanks guys,
I will take a look at Tails I lose and thanks for the heads up on Allen Carr. I was considering his book but I won't bother now. I did see he has a whole range of quit books so didn't think his material would be of great value!
Regards, John
