Firstly your already putting yourself on the back foot saying you will never be able to quit.
Even impossible spells I'm possible.
I'm not going to tell you it's easy but you can do it.
To give yourself a good shot give gamcare a ring and get some free counselling. Find your nearest ga meeting. Get some blocks in place. Hand over financial control to a loved on or trusted freind.
Using some or all of the above will give you an advantage to beating gambaling addiction.

Cheers pal, I have blocks in place but there are always ways around them.. I'm 43 now I've been gambling since I was 13-14 hence the defeatist post. Hopefully talking about it on here and seeing other peoples post will help.

I am also new to this site, and in the few days I have been on here I have had the pleasure of talking to some amazing people, they have all been where you are today, remember you bought yourself to this site, you told yourself you have a problem, that is pretty amazing in its self so many of us went through years of denial, myself included. Five days ago I was driving home looking at the central resivation thinking if I slam into it all this pain will go away. It is the love for my family that I didn't, I am telling you this because that's what it's all about write it down, get it out there no one will judge you, today I feel strong, I am putting yesterday behind me and looking forward to a new improved me 🙂
