Hi,Â
im new to the forum. After months of being in denial that my gambling was under control and it was just a bit of harmless fun. This week I’ve hit rock bottom by spending all my wages on slot machines.Â
the guilt I feel at letting my son down is the hardest part. But I’ve now taken the first steps to getting help. I’ve blocked all gambling sites on my phone and with my bank.Â
I just feel so very sad with myself.Â

I haven’t gambled or even looked at a gambling site on my phone since Saturday .. which doesn’t sound a lot but for me it’s definitely giving me the feeling of positivity and hope.Â
I have my first session next week with a counsellor.Â
so all positive steps

Â
@4h8b2el90u that's a real achievement. Well done ?
Stay strong and enjoy your first sessionÂ
I haven’t gambled now for 8 days. The urges are still there but I’ve tried to keep myself busy doing other things instead.Â
Wednesday is my first counselling session.Â
Reading all posts is real encouragement that I’m not alone.Â

You are amazing, spotting and acknowledging the problem is a massive step, which shows what a strong person you are, dont let gambling convince you that you are not. Learn the lessons, work hard and you WILL smash this.
