Here i am stuck in work with too much time on my hands but after 4 days of no gambling i feel pretty good, got a counselling session booked with a gambling Councillor at CAB on wednesday so looking forward to that. I have gambled pretty much nearly every day for the last 3 months until the last four days and joining this site. I still have the urge and knot in my stomach but i am coping with it. last night i dream t that i was playing the FOBT machine and when i woke up i felt let down until i realized it was not real. dear god i must of had it bad. but on day 4 i am just about coping. lets hope it gets easier.

Morning Steve
I'm on day 3 (take 4) I'm just going to the gym as we speak, it takes my mind off things then I'm gonna go to the pub and watch todays football/rugby games, like you i've also thought about gambling but by no means been close to going in the bookies just the thought of it makes me sick tbh. The knot in your stomach your talking about does go away after time stick in there be strong.
Think about the things you've got in life rather than the things you haven't
Hi delboy golf
Welcome to the forum.
Well done on your achievement and glad to hear you are getting help by going to counselling. To help with the urges maybe you could post a recovery diary on the forum some members find it very helpful. Also there is a chatroom on the website most evenings and you can also call the netline or the helpline on our Freephone number 0808 8020 133.
Best wishes
Rachel.
