Hi Spraggy2014,

Thank you for your post. Your story tells it all; it seems you’ve been struggling with your gambling problem for a long time even though you joined the forum in 2014.

As you realise, gambling problem is difficult to try to stop it by yourself. Most people need professional help to do that. Thus I’m wondering whether you’ll consider some counselling support from us, in case you haven’t had one yet.

If so, then I suggest that you contact our free phone Helpline on: 0808 8020 133, and speak to one of our advisers regarding your referral.

An adviser can also discuss your gambling problem with you, and advise you on more strategies to help overcome your problematic gambling, and will sign post you to various charitable organisations if he/ she thinks you’ll benefit from their services.

I hope you continue to read the posts from this forum for strength and encouragement. Trying to stop is not easy but, it’s doable, and you can do it!

I wish you all the best in your recovery, and pls. keep posting.

Kind regards,

Beatrice.
