Hello

It all depends on your circumstances me myself iv just done over time at work and watched every pound I spent.. I would suggest not selling stuff as it would remind you of why you had to sell it.. Just go out less, cut down on spending and recoup it that way

Hiya MrGold,

Well I've cut down on buying things like clothes and gadgets. Plus don't go out drinking much (didn't before to be honest the fact I don't spend £100 a month going to town is part of how I've justified losses)

&

Looking at getting a 2nd job. Seems harder than I planned tho! Tried 2 restaurants and 2 petrol stations and nothing seems to be coming off! Uurgh! All I want to do is move on and have an honest way of recouping and justifying losses.

I will keep my eyes on this thread as your question is so important to make sure that you don't go back to the gambling isn't it. From the way I have felt lately if I don't have a plan in place the way I feel to move on is to risk what I do have in the hope to get what I've lost.....

Best of luck guys.

Reddy

If it makes you feel better I lost £1500 last week and £2000 in February and £2000 in Janauary..it's the past to me it's gone I'm not getting it back!

Yes U could get £1000 from some where and walk into the casino and walk out with £10k but if you lose imagine how you would feel being twice the amount of down! Its so depressing.. I'm used to losing large amounts and I'm sick of it and it's going to stop for me now!! as iv realised that the guys driving round in the lambos and bentleys and living the high life if they gambled they wouldn't have none of that it's a fact.

Just walk away and mend like I'm doing.

Its all about being positive with our money now . Lots of us cg have large debts due to gambling. Others have wasted money saved or money waiting for another occasion. Its doesnt matter ... we all lost sight of the value of that money in our chase of some far fetched dream. But what do we do if we win? We just keep on hitting that button, clicking that mouse.. writting out then slips ... thats the difference to us ... its not money when we are our "world" its only another spin or horse bet. A lot of cg are very frugal outside gambling... and when you actualy sit down and consider the sheer waste ... but we all need to realise the money is gone . Draw a line and learn the value of it... i know im trying too.
