Hi all,
Having read some of the messages that is a real inspirational for problem gamblers.Â
It is really satisfying to reading and finding out how people overcome their inner demons. The struggles and fights take place internally is fascinating. Keep up with the good work.Â
I would like to make a few suggestions:
1. Open up a Monzo account (all gambling transactions are barred). If you already have.
2. Within the app, set a pot that pays yourself £1 daily for not gambling plus the amount of gamble free days. For example, let say you been gamble free for 66 days. Then starting from £66 then pay your £1 daily onwards. I know this is not much, however, it is a visual motivational tool and it keeps you on track of how many gamble free days. In a year, you should see £364 per year- as long you don't cheat yourself.Â
I hope this helps.

I’m back posting again and still proud to day I haven’t gambled....it’s a great feeling, but I do appreciate everyday holds a challenge and it would only take a slit second to slip back.
my birthday is on the 13th February and that’s my next target date to remain gamble free.
I read stories on this board and I feel the despair that people have when they do their first post, it’s important to restrict all gambling opportunities and access to funds. Fill your time with other activities and start the recovery one day at a time.
Forgot to mention that today is my 98th day..gamble free.
It's really good to have you back Skinyflint, so thank you for the update!
It's great to know that things are going so well for you, congratulations on your 98th day gamble free!
Best wishes
