im so glad i joined this site, everyone of you are giving me inspiration
three years ago i lost my wife, children and home through this adiction. i put them through hell, it was always their fault.
my children always kept in touch and ive always supported them financialy and emotionaly. but i lost three good years with them.
i now have a partner whos supporting me and ditched freinds who dont. proud of everyone of you on here, every message means a lot and helps me to beat the disease
One way that really helped me was to save 5% of my pay in the bank or just have cash in your wallet but never spend it. It takes some work but you watch it grow just like if you won betting sort of. Another thing I do and it may sound cruel, but I follow a few people online that bet professionally and find out their plays and cheer against them to win. It may sound mean but it helps me cope. If they lose which is more than they win, I feel good as I didn't bet and if they win its no big deal.

gra123s....that's what can happen...it's the same as 'beginners luck'...as soon as you stop....you see the 'winners' come in....but you forget that you are not also seeing the 'losers' come in. This will pass. Maybe stop looking at those results...especailly from a gambling point of view....get the enjoyment back for your team wining for winnings sake...if that your thing? I wish you well and strength.....please try to write more
Many thanks Chemistry1.
One question always troubles me and i will admit i still do it. I have to play the national lottery because the numbers are in my head! This is not gambling to the degree i was doing before but it is gambling. Does anybody think this is wrong as i have no euphoria when putting on the lottery as i did have with gambling? I will be honest and say it is £14.00 per week whereas i could lose a grand in a day when dabbling !!!
Not sure on the answer to that one villain, There's a lot of experienced people on who could advice. I'm waiting for someone to reply to it. I'm intreaged.I stopped completely but that's my personal choice

Hi Villian , I myself play the lottery my numbers are the same , in answer to your question the £'s on the numbers
is ok bearing in mind I would lose £20/£30 on those b*****d roulette wheels in one spin , if you are standing in the bookies you will spend /lose more and keep chasing as we all have done in the past , I think the lottery is far less damaging and you have more control
once the draw is over win or lose not to bad , but when we are in the evil bookies we keep betting .
if it helps millions of people play the lottery but they are not on this site , Stay strong 16 days for me now I feel good about it !
