I’m new on here and in all honesty this is something I didn’t think I would ever do, I have tried to deal with things my own way like ban online and block on bank etc however that just led me to the bookies as let’s face it you’ll do anything to get that hit.Â
I’ve lost god knows how much over the years and after yet another hefty slip off the band wagon I’m at the point again in my life where this has to end.Â
It’s like something takes over me when I gamble, il moan about paying £5 for a sandwich yet blow my wage in a flashing machine and come away with nothing. It’s not until I’m out of the zone so to speak that I realise what I have actually done. I’ve tried giving over finances in the past but that just made me realise I wasn’t ready to admit what I am…..a gambling addict!
I am determined that it has to stop and this time I am going to swallow my pride (well what’s left of it) and get help.

I remember when gambling there was one day when i had lunch at a restaurant and I was paying my bill, I got back my change and noticed that there was a $1.50 mistake. i was mortified. Then I thought back to the past day whereby I had blown hundreds of dollars in gambling. It is unreal how our minds think sometimes.Â
