I don't know how to do it .. last night I played all the money .. when I was paid I started playing .. and I had to return some money to a friend and now I have nowhere to return it .. How can I tell him? What could I say to him .. because of playing I lost a lot ... Money friends but most importantly I lost a relationship of 5 years ...And now I'm always sad, I don't smile anymore, I'm not what I used to be.. .. if you have any idea how I could get over this .. to stop gambling.. thank you very muchÂ
Hi
Get to GA meetings as soon as possible.
It can be done live or on web sites using zoom.
I know now that I could not abstain from gambling on my own.
Being in action is very self destructive.
The sooner you attend meetings the more likely you are of finding a much healthier life.

I think if I was your friend I would rather you told me the reason that you were unable to pay back the money right now. I was in a similar with a friend who borrowed money off me and continually lied and delayed repaying it and actually it triggered me to turn almost hobby level of gambling into a more industrial level of gambling to try and make back what id effectively written off (full of great ideas eh?), it was definitely a trigger for me.
As for stopping yourself, I suggest the first step is to put whatever self exclusion and gambling controls you can on immediately. Also, get on your banking apps and block any gambling transactions.
Try not to be so hard on yourself either. You've identified you have a problem, it will just take time but you can beat it.
Affected by gambling?
