My life has been turned upside down. I have gamble for a total of 15 years and stop for a while until I was off work for a year. It then took hold off me again and I have lost my wife because off. I am very low and struggle to know what direction to go. It has destroyed my life. I have family but loosing someone who has been your life for 8 years is heartbreaking. I am new here, as I want to move forward but I am struggling to have the drive because my life has been turn upside down. How do I do this?

welcome to gamcare this is the first step to getting help, it an awful addiction just like anything else the good news is you can put measures in place and with the right support this illness can be contained, you need hand over your finances to someone you can trust and get all blocks in place such as Moses and Gamban the early days are the hardest, the issues i see alot of people face once they get to a certain period of time as human we get complacent and forget we even have an illness and then bigger relapse happens which results in a worse situation to begin with, what ever the situation your in it can only get better, this is a life long illness and cannot be cured, unfortunately gambling is everywhere even the things you wasent gambling on can be risky, you can try Ga meetings as group support also gamcare has chatrooms run daily 8-9pm 7 days week
