Hi

ive been gambling for over a year i started off doing profit accumulator my friend introduced me to BIG MISTAKE that was !! i got hooked and then sucked into this downward spiral that gambling brings with it. all i wanted to do was clear my debts that didnt happen. i hate what it as done to me!

i gamble when i get money and than after juggle my finances i am a single parent with a disabled child and its hard.

i feel so s**t about it and i have tried to stop but i still go back to it to try to win big!!!

i have now decided that i need to stop its ruinng my life ive just blown £300 in 24 hours and that was all the money i had .

i rang Gamcare and they are arranging counselling for me and i am giving my laptop to my friend so i dont get the urge to gamble (out of sight out of mind kind of thing ) !

And i thought i would come on here and get some support so i dont feel so alone.

Hi,

Well done, on making some great steps towards becoming gamble free already. The more blocks you put in, the better.

Hi ellatucker 20.

Yes you must stop right now, put all the blocks on and get your life back.

Life can be hard but gambling is never the answer. With the right help and support from people close you will have a healthy mindset again.

What big win? Focus on reality and the real odds. Its a losers game, a mugs game and a tax on the poor!

You developed an addiction because your mind has been controlling you for its own chemical reactions.

In your strong moment you must self exclude from everywhere. This must be done and its the best thing you will ever do. If you leave any door open you will relapse because it cant be done with willpower alone in the early stages.

You will learn here that you are not alone and its affected people from all walks of life.

You will also need a check up to see if you are depressed or stressed in any way

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
