Evening jigsaw

You have come to the right place for help and support.

First of all what is it you bet on? If its in the bookies you can self exclude from the bookies all you need is a passport photo. If its online then there are blockers you can put on your iPad laptop etc that won't let you access gambling sites.

I can see why you have been sucked into this situation like many of us on here boredom plays a big part. Your not alone on this site though so many good people on here who will help you along the way.

Keep updating your diary and take care

Well then self exclude from those ones as well. Someone on here said to me always keep passport photos on you and when you see a bookies walk in and self exclude.

Mate it is if you really want to stop you have to exclude yourself from them otherwise we do what we do and it just ends up this way..

Hi jigsaw you are not alone.

I too have mental heath issues due to gambling mostly

I know what it is like to be alone i really do.

I spend most days alone racked with regretts

I was married and do have kids but i am not the best company to be around.

I reccommend reading a book called how to win friends and influence people.

It helped me in the past. I find computer games can help when the boredom and isolation get to much.

Unfortunately my MH is severe ADHD and Autism. As a result I don't feel regretful which isn't good as when that urge is there again I can't reflect on previous bad times.

With the lack of friends that's a bit of a 2 sided coin. Again, with the specific MH issues I have I don't mix well with others and pretty much most people don't want to spend time around me as I'm 'Out there' as they see it :/

I understand i dont mix well either.
People can pick up on body language if your unhappy people will see it in you even if you try To hide it. i have learned to accept that we are what we are in life.
I would be happy for you to consider me as a friend we share common issues.
Thank god for the internet and forums like this It mite not be the same as face to face contact
but its something.

Hi Jigsaw

I totally understand what your saying that due to your condition you don't remember the feeling of regret. My young son has autism and I attended a course mostly about autism so I do to an extent understand what your going through. You have to put actions in place so its not possible to gamble. So when the urge to gamble arrives you can't gamble so.it doesn't matter. I hope your ok i see you've not been on for a few days. Keep us updated
