This, was like reading my own thoughts. I've done this exactly

Hi Hope,

I know exactly how you feel right now, you will get through this. If you can't borrow money call up the companies and see if you can defer the payments, they should be fine.

I used to wait up until 1am the morning of payday and a few times i had gambled my whole wage away by the time i was going to work at 8am. While others at work were waking up to a nice pay pack i had already spunked it all, no money for bills no money to live. The worst thing is cause my partner didnt know i still had to act like i had money, used to make me sick with worry. The point is somehow you do always get through it and you will to.

Good luck, we are all here for you!!

I've had some bad moments in gambling. But this is the worst. I've lost my entire wage within an hour of getting paid. Can't pay bills, eat etc etc. But the worst feeling is I can't buy any christmas presents. I'm dreading telling my family so much.

I used to play a lot of online slot games, lost a lot of money. However, I have won a good amount recently and now I dont want to play slots anymore.

Hi I just joined here, I have been a online casino / slots addict for years, and has made life a living hell , lost my last 75 quid tonight on skyvegas. It's such a nice feeling when you win or recoup losses but usually feel suicial after losing. Always chasing losses I find is so hard to get away from doing. I have blocked myself tempararily / cool off period but just can't bring myself to set a lifetime or yearly ban only ever done that once from coral after losing 500 on golf bet. I always think one day I will beat them and win back my money but always know deep down it probably won't happen and if it does will feed it back to the b*****s shortly anyway. The government needs to do more and stop allowing gambling ads on tv for one but when you realise the hundreds of millions in revenue taxed from the gambling companies they obviously don't give a f***. Why would they ?. Good luck evry1

Greetings to all

I hope you will not laugh at me for two reasons. First, my English is not very well. Second, you might think I am joking. In fact, I won yesterday *****. This money will arrive into my account within three to five days. By the way, I am addicted to roulette and play in online casino. The wining is very good for me as it will free me from debts and leave me with extra. My problem is that I know myself If the money reached my account I will return back gambling. Is there any advice of how I can benefit from this money and I will not go back to gambling?

I did lost exactly about $337,000 to a SOLID C f D broker with their website. There are certain mistakes we all wish we had the power to prevent. Sharing my experience on this; Unfortunately for me I joined the queue of Solid C f D brokerage company. I was approached through a call, convinced they were genuine and Invested all my hard earned savings with them.

Look there are so much list of these brokers to avoid. I can only enlighten newbies and brighten up everyone that has fallen for this cheap lies.

However, I have been able to recover all my money i lost to solid c f d with the guidance of an orientated Financial Management/Recovery expert.
I'm open to share my experience on how reaching out to ;britz.alex@solution4ucom dissolved my worries.

man I hear you loud and clear there. Done that many many times, how bad is that feeling arriving at work pay day to see the responsible people in life full of beans as they have a months wage paid it that very morning and there you are wanting the ground to swallow you up knowing you spent all night awake blowing your wage when you should have done what responsible people do which is simply going to bed and sleeping to wake up to a hard earned wage paid in the bank. I am determined now this madness is going to stop.

Hi Hope 17

I am also similar age (just turned 35) and female. i know how you must be feeling. for over 10 years i was saving up for a deposit for a flat and was so proud of my savings. But my gambling problem i have been having over the past year made me lose it all. Lost thousands and thousands and for the first time i am overdrawn, got nothing. so at this rate i will never buy any property because of my stupidity. will probably live with parents forever. i can't tell my family. no way.

so you are not alone. hope it gets better

Hi hope and everyone . I know just how this feels I’ve been doing the same for years and it’s not like I haven’t been lucky. I’ve deposited £*** and I won £*** and I gambled the whole lot away again in 3 days.. but I’ve always been lucky that way but I never know when to stop so I will never be able to play sensible. I will use every penny I have on slots and struggle TIL I get paid again. It’s been this way for over 15 years. I get in the habit of blocking or self excluding myself from sites but then just go and open new ones. I try so hard to stay away from slots doesn’t matter how much I win I always feel it’s not enough so I always ask myself why do I do it. Because I will never withdraw. And I keep going round in circles. I get paid I tell myself I’m not gonna do it within hours all my moneys gone I think try and tell my self it will never happen again. And I get by TIL next pay day and when I know my wages are due in bank my minds already thinking of what site to go on. And that happens month in month out. I just want to stop why is it so hard . If there was a magic switch

Hello Jane1772,

Have you looked at GamStop? 0800 138 6518 is the freephone for GamStop, the national self-exclusion scheme for online gambling; they're available 8am to midnight, seven days a week. It is free to use, and our forum members have said it just took them a ten minute call to the GamStop freephone to register. You can choose to exclude for six months, one year or five years. The Gambling Commission are going to make it a licensing requirement for companies to participate in GamStop, so although they don't offer total coverage yet, more and more gambling companies will register with their scheme as the year progresses. If you have accounts with gambling operators not yet listed on the GamStop website, it would be a good idea to also self-exclude from them separately.

If you'd like more support, please call us on 0808 8020 133 or try our netline. We can give you information about various other types of self-help like blocking software, or different types of support like 1-2-1 appointments or group GA meetings.

Take care,

Forum admin.
