Hi all. My name is Darren and I'm 31 years of age. This is my story.

Started gambling about 5 years ago after seeing a friend of mine win thosuands on roulette and blackjack. So I started small. 5 pound here and there . I ended up winnings thosuands myself in a small space of time. Loving life! Then I started to bet big to win more . Lost everything. Racked up huge debts and had to enter into an iva. Attempted suicide twice . Bad times. I then got myself sorted getting married and having a baby. Life was great. Then one day i started gambling again. Would end up losing evryrging. Some months i would blow my whole wage on payday. Feel sick to my stomach. Few days ago I put my last 200 into an online casino. I won over 2k. Money was in my bank yesterday and what did i go and do...put it all back In! Here I am today with 11 quid in my bank and can't pay the bills. Why did I do it!? I'm an idiot!! Enough is enough and i have got to stop for my sake and my family's. I do hope this is the end....

Got an email today from 21casino saying I have 10 free spins on a slot. I thought no harm in trying so I did. Won 50 75 pounds from the free spins. Couldn't withdraw as wagering required. Lost it. Even tho it was free money it still made me sick just playing it..

Hi Dazza and welcome to the forum .

I've just read your story on here and seen what youv'e been through , yet within a day of being here you go straight back to on an online casino ? , sorry to say this but free spins or not you can't carry on like this , your'e a Compulsive gambler and as hard as this is to take on board you cannot gamble anymore .

If your planning on stopping gambling then you have to block as much access to these sites as you can , admin have already given you the links for self exclusion which you really have to put in place as soon as possible , nothing going to change unless you start making those changes my friend , it's all doable and in your power to make those changes but you really have to want to :)).

Thanks for the reply. I know and I agree totally. I just thought what's the harm as it's free money. But the harm is it's tempting me to gamble again! And I do want that.. I am deadly serious and tonight I have excluded myself from all sites. I will do it. It's not just a case of wanting to its a case of I have too!

Mate , there not going to let you go without a fight now are they ? , these companies are fully aware of your betting patterns , what you gamble on at what time and when , so if they see your not playing when you should be . chucking a handfull of " free spins " your way to remind you where you should be ,is for them money well spent ( or not spent if you can't even draw any winnings due to " Conditions " ) ? . if they still manage to get through , then change your email if need be :))

Take it easy Bud ! :))
