So here I am. My first 7 days gamble free. It may not be much of a milestone but it's a start.

It's been a mixed week emotions wise. I've had days where I've struggled a bit emotionally with the worry over the future of my marriage and concern for my wife and her well being and other days I've been out enjoying time with my family and doing things without having to worry about recent losses due to gambling.

Hopefully the next 7 days will go by gamble and problem free too.

Well done. Keep battling.

As long as you aren’t gambling, it will get better for certain.

Well done Jay.  The first 7 days can be so hard and confusing but also so rewarding, knowing that you have gone a whole week without spending another penny gambling!👏👏👏.

Keep going and best of luck 🙏.

Hi

Well done 7 days is a very healthy thing to do.

I found a meeting in london that had some healthy in depth therapies.

That meeting was a big help to me and I learned how emotionally vulnerable I use to be.

I understand now that I could find healing and resolve on my own.

Some times when I was vulnerable I would go to 2 3 meetings per week.

Today I do not want or need to gamble.

Today I do not want or need to be self destructive.

That is great news to hear. Keep talking to the forum and community. Replacing your habits with healthy alternatives with your family is so rewarding . Daily reflections on how good that feels is very powerful.  My son still does that after 18 months gamble free. Known your vulnerable times and triggers and navigate around those times .

Really positive start, if you feel vulnerable . Talk to someone ... helpine open 24/7
