So recently turned 50 and think it's finally time to quit all kinds of gambling for good. Had an evening over the weekend whereby I lost £2500 via online blackjack. Spent hours chasing...familiar story. Came clean to my wife and has given her support (she's fantastic). Now luckily we still have savings set aside and have managed to pay this month's bills so in that respect I'm a lucky boy, but my DNA certainly has the ability to go through all my savings given half the chance. I have self excluded and my Wife has done the same as I could use her name etc in opening online accounts. My last bet was Sunday just gone, so here I am approaching Day 3 without gambling. Found it hard last night with all the football being played. I'm not sure how will go, certainly cannot see how I can bet now online going forward. Feel I have to reinvent myself, not watch as much football as before for starters. I feel anxious, perhaps that will pass over time.
