Am 51 and relapsed a few weeks ago after 10 years without a bet.
Although the financial impact was not too bad, am really disappointed with myself as I have a family now
and am responsible for their wellbeing.
I embarked on a premeditated spread betting spree and soon lost all control.
In a way the series of large losses was a good thing rather than the slow burner as it was all over in a few weeks.
Am 3 weeks free and my wife has complete control of the finances (she has been really great)
Just posted to say the illness can get you at anytime - i had a some cash to burn and a career break and that is lethal!
This addiction can strike at anytime.
