Hi Everyone
New to the site, been looking at posts for while. Gambling has taken over my life for too long and determind now to change. I need to be a better husband and a better father. Like everyone on here enjoyed the buzz and winning but that was very rare and absolutely fed up thinking about gambling all day. Where can I fund the next bet now much can I win, why didn't I just stop. Mental torture. I'd really like to get help and support from others on here and finally turn the corner and start to live my life without gambling. I last gambled yesterday lost a bit lied to my wife, got found out again and caused huge fight. I'm going to take to be taking life one day at a time and try not gamble.

Thanks for your reply. Last night after getting found out yet again we called the bank to stop the bank cards and also block any further payments going to online bookmakers. I have self excluded from online sites and also self excluded from in store bookies. My problem was sports betting both in the bookie and online. I'm going to try to enjoy watching football and golf and try not think of it as a gambling exercise. I am fortunate that only have small amount of debt due to loans for gambling, over the past few years most bills paid and just my money would waste on betting. Depriving myself so could give to the bookie. Need to regain my wife's trust and also be better father figure to my kids. I've read the family and friends section and can see what our gambling does to the other people in our lives. I managed to stop for two years before then used arguments with the wife as an excuse to put a bet on and this time it would be OK. I've admitted to myself it's beat me, I don't want to fight it and so will focus on a journey I can win with a happy life with family. Just try be content with what little we have and not always want more. How long have you been gamble free for now and are you finding life happier ?
