Today I realized I have a problem.

I have been online gambling for a little while now. Throwing away any 'spare' money I had. Getting myself into debt to chase a thrill, borrowing to satisfy my urge, neglecting my essential needs just at the chance of 'making some money'.

Thing is, even if I hit a big win, I blow it all chasing an even bigger win, and end up with nothing.

Today I went to a pawn shop to sell my phone to get money for a removals van to empty my apartment, I have 2 weeks to leave and I've been broke for weeks after throwing my money at the slots. I purposely did not bank my cash so I couldn't deposit it and gamble it away.

On my way home though I passed a small 'casino'. This place was just full of slot machines. I blew all my cash chasing losses. I'm filled with so much regret and I feel disgusted with myself.

I have a problem and I don't know how to stop.

I hope this is okay to post here. I'm sorry If it's not

Hey, put the blockers on buddy: GameStop, gamban, sense all help. Get your bank to block gambling transactions too. I put it off for years and wish I did it earlier.

Hi

As above sign up to gamstop , most banks can block gambling transactions and it would take 48 hours to take it off, check if your bank does, i know Santander is a weak one as you can turn off and on instantly but halifax natwest pretty good.

I would see how much trouble your in with money and speak to step change citizen advice and see the best plan going forward, they'll be very helpful.

Just keep busy too , take your mind of gambling im 99 days clean and feel much better for it , i stay stubborn to that i won't gamble.
