Cheers bbman91 it sounds good as far as self exclusion goes, i spoke to them today and am going ahead with it,its quite a new thing, they said i will be able to start a 12 month 'trial' self exclusion where i will be excluded from a numerous amount of bookies in my erea which could be very handy if it works! This forum has been very usefull for me and im really glad i came on board
Yeah will help a lot as it will just stop you even thinking about walking in one, as you will just look silly getting asked to leave ect..
Yeah this forum is handy makes it all seem possible!
Yes its not a problem. You can go in and get self excluded from every branch of a bookies in one go. Its a matter of pride now and not shame. Who cares what the bookies think. I had people coming up to me and actually opening a conversation because they knew I was doing the right thing. Gamblers who were expressing a sense of relief through my actions. Relief that it can be done. Hopefully they will soon do the same.
You are tackling a serious addiction and you will feel a great sense of relief that you have done something positive.
Where did gambling get you....up the creek without a paddle...thats where it got you. Self exclusion is an extremely positive step.
Together with your honesty and further counselling you will begin to wonder why you ever gambled.
Best wishes
