Hi I’m new to this site but been looking on here since the day I quit 93 days ago, I tryed lots of times to stop over last couple of years but failed at about 2/3 weeks it was like I got major anxiety which I never had before but this time I did it and went to the doctors at about 6weeks and they said it was withdrawal never thought symptoms could be so bad  At the minute it seems to be getting better but very slowly just wandering if others have gone through this. My main things was roulette and football I’ve never been to the point where I’d lose everything but did bet when I shouldn’t have and became more of a problem over the last 18months, when I first quit after about 2 weeks I’d be really on edgeÂ
Hi David may I ask if its online betting you do or shops and so on? Hope you are well this eening and not too on edge
I would do online but I have blocked my accounts and have a joint bank account with my wife so she can see if I do and I can manage not to do it, I’m not missing gambling but the doctor says because brain chemicals are altered over a period of time they need to adjust back to normal which can take months but it does slowly seem to be doing it’s just horrible how it can effect you like thatÂ
Affected by gambling?
