Good day
Last Sunday was the day I finally admitted I had a problem. I managed to avoid betting through the week but was a bit nervous about the weekend. My biggest problem is sports betting, I'm a huge fan of most sports and started of with "a little bet to keep it interested". This obviously escalated and I was regularly blowing a months salary in a weekend and have amassed a sickening amount of debt this way. I used to think the big win to get me out of trouble was just around the corner. It wasn't.
With football, golf, cycling not to mention the grand national when the while country is betting it's fair to say I imagined a huge challenging weekend.
I'm pleased to say I'm in day 8 of recovery. The secret for me was giving all my time to people close to me. My gf, my friends, family. this seems to be key for me. I managed to watch and enjoy sport without feeling sick at the end of a Sunday afternoon.
Still early days but I'm heading in the right direction.

Hope you still on the bandwagon
if you are like me
money is seen as gambling tokens
i always try to put the family first. But blowing money on gambling is something I hide.
I have to work secret overtime to pay my losses back
my social life is effective dormant cause I would rather play poker than spend times with friends.
Gambling is too easy and me being addicted is difficult to limit
i wish you and all the others here the best. To be on this site we all have problems
Affected by gambling?
