Evening every buddy!

We've made it to the 4th July!! Happy Independence Day everyone!! Not sure if anyone saw the US fans all around their home states and in Brazil with their relentless chant of "I believe that we will win"? I'm thinking we should adopt that as our mantra.......say it over and over and over.......it may not have worked for the US football team, but it's so true for us!

It's the weekend - thankfully!! Apologies for being quiet for the last couple of days - especially to the guys who have posted requesting to join us. With GamAddict already on board, I've left personal messages and asks for TezG, markieb10 and SuzyLemon on the very first page of the challenge thread. Please go back to that page folks and read through......hope to see you posting again and joining us on the journey.

So work and home have been simply mental. It's year end......time for reporting, team reviews etc. but add into that an outsourcing exercise and massively stretching targets for the new FY and you've got a recipe for "fun". I managed to get finished sharp today, picked up the folks in Glasgow and went for a bite with them.......to then receive a call to tell me my wee pride and joy (3 year old daughter) had been in a car crash with her Gran. Thankfully she's fine, as is her Gran......but don't think I've ever been so scared in my life as I approached the scene. It really brings it home about what is important in life.......and gambling doesn't even register on that scale.

So we've got around 35 soldiers sitting in base camp waiting to march into a new week......

I do have a couple of comments on some check ins:-

onlineplayer - can you confirm that you're not gambling at all please? I realize that online was the big issue that you want to arrest, but your post made me think that you are maybe gambling in other forms? Thanks mate - hope all well.

sonic boom - your post also made it sound as if you'd had a bet on the footy but that you'd avoided the FOBT's.....but I'm thinking that's an interpretation thing on my part rather than you did have a smallish bet on the footy?

jess - sorry to hear that you've had a blip and of course we want you with us!! An ask would be that in your next post, you share what you've learned as being the circumstances in which the slip took place and what you're going to do differently this time that will hopefully make this THE time! Thanks!

Some really really positive check ins this week and with just over 24 hours to go we could see our numbers swell to the highest ever!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mr Brightside

Hi Mr B....

Just to clarify - still gamble free.

Just had so much going out of my wage to ongoing debts and thought I would spend a little of my hard earned cash on a little flutter. Sounds silly when you write it down - anyway still gamble free.

Gambling - I got one less problem without ya

Hi all - Day 120- check in...I must try not to be complacent as I have been this period without before and it only takes a few hours or less of "one more go" for me to set myself back months if not years! Good luck all!

Morning troops!

I thought as much Sonic - thanks for coming back to me so quickly! It's the eve of your half century, so lots to celebrate mate!

Talking about celebrations.........there's 3 big milestones today for our team........

Scambling hits 30 weeks GF.......awesome Scambs!! It's incredible how far we've come!!

Then there's the Big Philla himself!! As he ventures from the red rose into white rose country today, he'll do so with a spring in his step, lycra shorts on (I can't unthank that Phil!! Lol!!)......and 200 days being free from gambling under his belt. Enjoy the Tour mate and don't you be trying to cut our future King's grass by chatting up his Mrs!!

Gladsdad.....a quarter of a year ago today, your journey to freedom was just beginning......I wonder what your volume scores would have been then? It's simply fantastic that family and life in general is "booming" for you now. Really well done on your achievement!!

Just in case the potential soldiers (TezG, markieb10 and SuzyLemon) missed my post from last night, there's a message for each of you on the front page of this thread!!

Just over 15 hours for check in and we are looking for the safe return of 11 soldiers. Still looking like it could be a good week for us!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Mr B
