Thanks rock!

I had a great chat with my best friend yesterday who has asked me to help her stop gambling. We did most gambling together I've the past 10 years until the online gambling started. We were both doing it in secret but since I stopped I have been completely open and honest about my problem and she felt she could open up to me about how bad it has got for her.

She went him to block her computer and will cancel her debit card to get a cash card but the main thing is she admitted it and she had been so secretive about it that it was an enormous relief to speak to me about it.

I have directed her to this site as I feel it would help her to write things down.

Anyhoo day 57 begins x

Day 11 - Got a really bad bit of news yesterday when I had to have extra work on my car costing £260, just a bit of a set back when my savings and paying off debt have been going really well. Resisting urge to gamble in order to get that money back. In reality though if I was gambling I could have lost easily £500 in Jan so its nothing and will mean I dont have to have work on my car for a few years now.

Evening everyone!!

So we're almost half way through the week and nowhere near half way checked in!! Lots of soldiers not registered days yet......but a lot posting on diaries etc, so lots of time and spidey senses not tingling yet!!

Congratulations to Phil on 50 days - well done mate!!

The Rock - awesome effort continues.........4 more days and you're in new territory!!

Lec101 - welcome back buddy!! Next time you'll be on the naughty step - tell her Linda, tell her!!

Chalky - keep going Sir.......hours turn into days which turn into weeks........regular check ins are good!

Happy Days!!! - I'm loving it!! Great name - marching forward..........same as the Reds.........but you deserve your victories due to sheer determination and hard work........unlike my team tonight - I think that's what you call the rub of the green!!!

I am Mr Brightside and I am checking in on 59 days free of gambling.....another day that ends in "0" tomorrow - love them!

Hope you're all having a good week......family, work, home, friends, partners and loved ones.

Last wee point for unruinyourself - can everyone check out his diary and give some encouragement? Having a really tough time and today is the first day without a post - let's prevent a soldier falling - not necessarily gambling, but just life - thanks.

Night fellow soldiers,

Mr Brightside

Just checking in because I feel I need to. Day 14 for me that clears 2 weeks. I personally feel the next 2 weeks are so important as I have time off for half term and that includes loads of spare time for me . Feeling strong at the moment and looking forward to coming through unscathed .

Well done Mr B on 60 days x

Quick check in - still not gambling and somehow finding the strength to say no.

Thank you MrBrightside for your message of support very much appreciated 🙂 hope all is well with everyone.

I might be wrong but I think I am now at the 41 day mark - I lost track and the only way I knew was via a one day difference with ashamed 🙂

Checking in on Day 40 🙂

I thought about changing my Id Mr B but at the moment I've decided to keep *ashamed* for now.....everytime I sign in it reminds me of where I was a few weeks ago and where I DONT want to be ever again.....

Amanda.....well done girl!!

It's great to know you're still out there and staying strong 🙂

Another weekend on duty at work for me so won't be around much, 12 hour shifts leave me to knacked to do anything but sleep when I get home......

Well done everyone & especially our amazing Mr Brightside for your continued support, you truly are making a difference!

I cannot win because I cannot stop....no point in starting then 🙂

Clean for 2014 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
