Just popping in to congratulate Sergeant Major Suzanne. A wee tear in my eye reading your post and simply reinforces for me that we are never free from the addiction - just blessed to be free from the punt.......and in so many other ways. One of those ways is having this website, this forum and especially this challenge. If anyone ever questions why there is a need to have the discipline to check in every week, in time and in full, then simply read Suzanne's 1 year post - that is the reward for the hard yards.
I feel so privileged to have walked these roads with you Suzanne and words can't describe how happy I am for you. You are incredible.
Congratulations on the year.
Mr Brightside xx
Checking in and still gambe free, struggled this week to be honest, had some real prevelant gambling thought but haven't acted on them and know why they are here. I'll work through the rest of the week but still in a good place overall.
Would like to say well done to I Wished/Suzanne. 1 year gamble free is a superb achievement and you deserve all the best wishes i can give.
Checking in 47days
found it hard yesterday but the checks on the phone worked and it soon passed
very pleased with progress so far
great site

Thank you sooo very much fellow troops/soldiers for your lovely comments on this challenge, I feel quite overwhelmed to be honest, the support on here is quite unique,
My Brightsides post put a lump in my throat, I sure feel privileged to be walking along side with you too. Infact each and everyone of you whether day/ week one or day/ week 5000 we are all walking this road together at the same pace.one foot at a time.
This challenge is a ideal tool, because to keep arresting this addiction, is one of the biggest challenges of our lives, which I think we realise as our journey progresses, but troops what an amazing challenge and what an amazing journey.
I truly feel honoured to be marching along side all of you, and thank you again for your lovely comments,
Suzanne xx

Day 5 checking in. Feeling very positive today.
We dont need a new year to reflect on the positive things in life. Well done Mark on your day 1 and your big step of joining the challenge.
Ryan18 are you wanting to rejoin the challenge?
Checking in for this week gamble free positive and quite a busy bird lol hope all is well with everyone x
Checking in for another week and the end of month 4 on this challenge! Congratulations to Suzanne for reaching a year. Also, congratulations to everyone who has got through the first 4 months of the year - an excellent achievement! To those who joined later or have slipped, if you are still going forwards, then a massive congratulations to you too. As Suzanne's post pointed out, if the goal is abstination being on day 5 is the same as day 365, so keep on fighting for your futures as she has!
My one year anniversary on this site.
checking in day 128 on the challenge.
Payday yesterday and not even entertained thought of gambling.
Checking in and up to 18 days gamble free.
Been a good week. 1st GA meeting. Vivid dreams about gambling but nice to wake up and know it was just a dream. Have a good week all
Checking in today on my 89th day GF! Well done to everyone still going strong on the challenge!
I went out for a meal with my family last night for my aunties 50th. She recently won big on the lottery and gave me an envelope with a cheque in. When I got home I opened it to find she has generously given me a couple thousand pound. She told me to enjoy it and not waste it.
A few months back it would have stupidly gone straight into a fruit machine. I'm so glad that i don't have to worry about that anymore. I can treat myself and my partner to a holiday, or get a new bathroom, anything that isn't gambling!
I thank this site and the people who support each other for that. This place has helped me sort my life out and change the way I think about money, gambling and the consequences of gambling.
I'm now free to enjoy my money!
Spending hours putting it into a machine!? What a ridiculous thought that is! I can't believe what I used to do!
Checking in 104 Days clean. I've had an easier week than last week which has helped me a lot.
Best Wishes as usual to everyone on The Challenge.
Hello everyone.
I've been here before and know the drill.
I went back to gambling after 146 days . It was the same old story.
