Sorry bit late checking in. Been a bit of a difficult week (family health concerns). Main thing is I'm still gambling free.

Checking in - Day 332

Going through a very good phase right now. Feeling contented and no desire to gamble. Still taking it day by day and this works for me.

Enjoy your Sunday,

Suzy

Apologies for the late check in, completely forgot! Day 71 for me... Completely focused on clearing my debts in the next couple of months and moving out! Also got my holiday in a few weeks so buzzing at the minute!

Usually check in on a Saturday, so apologies for the late check in!

Passed 3 months GF the other day, now 94 days GF & the 100 is in sight!

I'm amazed that I've got this far, I used to gamble every day on my mobile. I'd be at work, I'd be checking the RP app. Battery wouldn't last half a day! Now I'm leaving work with 70% battery but not going near my phone & gambling.

Checking in but back to day 7 now. Got to 2 months and i chose to put a bet on and see how it made me feel/if i could control it. Long story short didnt lose any money but realised the gambling feeling and compulsive behaviour will never leave me. Stopped this time but if i start again could be back to square one.
Now fully ready to move past gambling the nagging thought i had of still winning and being able to gamble is gone now.
Gambling free day 7 and moving forward with my life.

Hi All

I have been gambling for 9 years now, first started out on fruity machines were i was spending alot of money so i stop them and moved to bookies instead at first it was only a few pound in the FOBT machines, then it was turned into £20 a spin within a few weeks i was completly addited on them, i guess i have spent £50,000 or maybe even more id say in the last 7year. It does not matter if i win alot because it went straight back in the bookies again.

The main issue is the urges and when im upset or bored i go to the bookies to gamble, football bets are not a problem its just the machines that i have lost my way with.

My girlfriend has been amazing putting up with me, tbh i dont know how she has because ive barely treated her and the moods i get in when i lost and even if i won id still be really down. I get paid a decent amount so i know once i stop the money i cave for will build up over time but its just the question of if i can kick this horrible addition!

Its currently day 10 without gamble of any sort.

If i could start this 2015 challenge that would be great.

thank you

Aaron
