Can you please add me to the 2015 Challenge. My last bet was on 19 April 2015 when I reached my rock bottom and admitted that I am a compulsive gambler with no ability to control my betting. Prior to this I had been playing online slots daily for the past five years resulting in the inevitable; massive debts and a crippling sense of panic and shame. I have been attending weekly GA meetings and constantly reading posts on this site until today when I read MrBrightsides exit post from 2014 and realized that I wanted to become an active soldier on this journey. Thank you to everyone who has inspired me to believe that together we can do this, one day at a time.

Dear Forum Members

Just wanted to post something onto this thread as a forum admin, as a couple of these posts were flagged as abusive recently and have been edited. Just wanted to reiterate as others have said that running this thread is a huge task for Bornagain, especially as so many of you post on here. Of course it would be great to get a personal reply to each and every post but its not always possible. Life goes on alongside recovery, and that applies to everyone. However I think you do a great job of supporting each other on here, and this is a great thread to have and point out to newcomers.

If any forum member feels the need for more immediate or one to one support, please remember that our services are there for that very purpose. Sometimes peer support isnt enough on its own, a bit more is needed.

Thanks Admin, am sure it will be appreciated by so many on this thread, to know you read it, a lovely positive boost for our Phil,

I don't think, sorry but Phil is doing an amazing job, you are stepping in at the wrong time and focusing on the wrong people/ person.

Hi Suzanne

Thanks for your feedback and apologies if you feel we could have stepped in sooner. Unfortunately we do do our best to check posts, but this a mammoth task and things will not always be picked up straightaway. It looks like the thread is back up and running now and I hope members feel able to keep on checking in and posting updates as before.

Best wishes

Rebecca

Apreciate your efforts of running this challenge as it's no doubt it's hard work and extremely time consuming

Apologies for not doing the update last night I was in work till after midnight. I should be done by ten tonight so will do it as soon as I get home tonight. From this Sunday onwards I will be doing the update first thing in the morning and not extending the check in like I have in the past. Hopefully this week we can all get back on track.
