Checking in on day 76. Had a few gambling urges when I was in town mid week but didn't want to break my good run of consecutive days gambling free. This challenge definitely is a great help.

Hi everyone,

Checking in to report a gamble free week. All going well and no urges or temptations to place a bet. Strange day yesterday as I was in my local town and got caught short and needed the toilet. I had an option, go the nearest toilet which was in a bookies 50 yds away, or walk around a mile to the nearest pub and use there's. I'm glad to say I chose the latter, but for a split second or so, I did think of going into the bookies. I honestly don't think I would have placed a bet, but I just took the temptation away and didn't give myself that option.

Have a good weekend everyone and continue with all of your individual battles.

Mike

Checking in on day 50! Been a little tempted this week but not enough to act on the urges. Pleased to report my tax credit money is still in my bank account untouched and my credit/debit cards remain unused for gambling purposes.

Checking in day 287.

How things have changed since this time last year. October's always a financial nightmare for me, 4 family birthdays and house insurance all to pay for before pay day. This year I've got the money safely tucked away for them so no credit cards required. Not gambling definitely makes life far less stressful.
